SNR is the largest event production presented by Marist College. The show is known for its high production value, with professional lighting, music, and choreography that transforms the runway. The students of the Fashion Show Production class are led by a team of student directors, who are using this show as their capstone project.

The show is entirely produced by students. The course consists of 5 teams: Creative, Logistics, Branding, Production, Communication. All of these teams are vital to the creation of the show. The runway features garments designed and realized by the talented senior Fashion Design students in a professional runway setting.

My time with SNR.

My junior year of college, I applied to the Fashion Show Production class at Marist. After a short interview process, I was accepted into the course and began as the Digital Media Coordinator on the Creative team. I learned how to plan video shoots, edit videos, create graphics for social media, and work with other creative minds to create a cohesive vision. We collaborated with other teams to carry out the overall theme of the show.

In my senior year of college, I applied to be one of the creative directors for the show. I was selected for the position and used the show as my capstone project. I had to learn to be a leader. I had weekly meetings with my co-directors to build the show from the ground up. We conducted class sessions with presentations and discussions with the 40 students within the course. I learned to delegate responsibilities and work to the students within my team. We worked with professionals in the industry to produce the show we had designed.
